During this global pandemic, everyone has had to adjust but lockdown is starting to ease up for everyone and people are slowly starting to go back to work and school. That may not be easy for everyone to go from staying at home all day long to traveling to work or school. Here are some tips to help you survive during this process. It hasn’t been easy for me to go from traveling to Central London for college and then being stuck at home not knowing what to do or where to go. I had to take this time in lockdown to figure out what I was passionate about and what I really wanted to do with my future but I was lucky to find this traineeship to help me build up my confidence and help me figure out what I wanted to do. I have discovered my love for writing and pursuing the media sector as this has given me an idea of what I want to do.

Tips:

Plan and Prepare

Think about your job/school and what you need to do to prepare like trying to be able to stay more focused and pushing yourself to try and get out of bed, planning ahead for travel, think about if there’s anything that you need to do differently but don’t forget to take things one step at a time.

Keep an eye on yourself

You are important and after spending months indoors, it’s not going to be easy to just get out of the house and go off to work. Take some time to go through it all one breath at a time as your mental health is important.

Talk and try to connect

After being away from people for so long, take the time to check up on people and see how they are and how they have been adjusting throughout this process. Everyone is different and processes things differently so it’ll be good to talk to people who may have an idea of what you’re going through.

Finally, try to stay positive as everyone is figuring out their own paths and everything may not always go according to plan but it is important to take this time to figure out what is good for you as your well-being is important. Don’t forget to take the time to talk to others about how you feel and stay kind.
